CBI seeks time, Kerala High Court adjourns Lavalin case

Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Friday adjourned the SNC -Lavalin case involving Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and others after the CBI sought more time for the additional solicitor-general to apprise himself of the case. Justice B. Kemal Pasha adjourned the hearing after granting one-month’s time to the CBI. Additional solicitor-general Paramjith Singh Patwalia will appear before the court.
The case is related to the award of supply contract to a Canadian company, SNC Lavlin Inc, for renovation and modernization of Pallivasal, Sengulam and Panniar hydro-electric projects by the KSEB in violation of rules and regulations. The Thiruvanathapuram CBI court had discharged Mr Vijayan and others in the case.
