THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan has asked the Congress to shed its double-standard on the Athirappilly project. He also demanded that the LDF and the UDF should reveal their real stand  as they were trying to create confusion among the  people on the project.  The leaders were misleading the people by taking different stands while the people had opposed the LDF government’s decision.

“The irony is that  the LDF and UDF had tried back-door methods to get the clearance from the environment ministry. Former chief minister Oommen Chandy and power minister Aryadan Muhammed had written to the union government during the UDF government’s tenure seeking permission for it,”  he said.
