GVL Narasimha Rao wants guilty in solar case to be jailed

Kottayam: Congress leaders and the police officials whom the solar commission found guilty should be sent to jail, demanded BJP national spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao. "If these leaders were not brought before the law immediately, there is a possibility that they may escape making use of the loophole of politics of compromise," he told reporters here.

Mr Rao said the case was not politically motivated, but the findings of the commission the Oommen Chandy government itself set up. He asked why  Rahul Gandhi appointed  K.C. Venugopal as the deputy leader in Lok Sabha when he was connected with the fraud.
