GSTN deadline nears for Pondicherry

Chennai: The commercial taxes department  of Puducherry has asked unregistered traders to enrol themselves immediately under the GSTN (Goods and Services Tax Network).  

Commissioner of commercial taxes G. Srinivas said in a release on Monday that dealers registered under the Puducherry Value Added Tax Act 2007 were issued user IDs and passwords to access the GSTN portal.

The enrolment process, which is mandatory for migration to the GSTN, commenced in the union territory on November 8. The last date for migration for Puducherry is December 15, the release said adding the dealers who received the provisional IDs and passwords and were yet to register under the GSTN network should complete the enrolment process immediately.
