Malakpet Police Raid Fake Soap Manufacturing Unit, Seize Goods Worth ₹2 Crore

HYDERABAD: Malakpet police on Saturday raided a unit that was manufacturing fake soaps of the Karnataka government-owned KSDL, and seized goods worth around Rs 2 crore.
Based on a complaint lodged by Rakesh Jain, representing KSDL, the police conducted a raid at a unit in Old Malakpet.
Police seized 20 cartons containing 1,800 pieces of 150-gram soap cakes and 47 cartons with 9,400 pieces of 75-gram soaps, and empty boxes.
Four persons who were running the unit were detained for questioning police said adding that they suspected that there were other such illegal units in operation.
Police did not disclose the names of the accused as the investigation was still in progress.
