Emergency landing for Air India flight at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

When the pilot realised the technical snag 15 minutes after take-off, he flew it back to Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: Air India Flight 616 bound for Mumbai from the city made an emergency landing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Sunday after developing a technical snag. Sources said that the snag was due to the negligence of the ground engineering staff, Air India spokesperson Pooja Kaushik said it was noone’s fault.

She said there were six passengers on the flight. When the pilot realised the technical snag 15 minutes after take-off, he flew it back to Hyderabad. “The aircraft took off at 2 pm with the passengers and reached Mumbai safely,” she added.
