Hyderabad: The TSIIC has expedited Pharma City works at Mucherla village. TSIIC VC and MD E.V. Narsimha Reddy told DC that the Detailed Project Report would be readied by May 10.

“A master plan will be completed by this September and as soon we get it, we will start allocating land for the pharma companies,” he said.

Mr Narsimha Reddy added that since the Pharma City has been granted NIMZ status, the TSIIC will need at least 3,500 acres to start the project.

“As per the guidelines of NIMZ, we will have a chance to develop the project on 12,500 acres or more, in a phased manner. Phase-I of Medak NIMZ is also going to start with 3,500 acres,” he said.

Mr Narsimha Reddy said that that so far, the TSIIC has got about 3,000 acre of land from both Ranga Reddy and Mahbubnagar districts and the process to get another 2,000 acres was on.

“We hope it will be handed over to us before we get the master plan,” he said.
