KURNOOL: Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple at Srisailam in Nandyal district witnessed a huge influx of devotees, starting from Friday evening and lasting till late Sunday night.

At least 50,000 devotees had darshan during the period. Temple authorities are predicting that this number might go over one lakh on Monday. The number of devotees is so overwhelming that temple staff are struggling to manage the crowds.

The highway leading to the sacred place is packed with a sea of vehicles, resulting in traffic congestion, particularly in the ghat sections of Nallamala forest near Sakshi Ganapathi temple. This route serves as the main passage for pilgrims arriving at Srisailam from both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states.

Temple authorities are taking measures to provide various facilities to devotees, including accommodation, food and potable water.

General darshan may take 7–8 hours to complete, while the special darshan option will involve 4–5 hours on Monday.
