Kurnool: District Collector asks officials to buckle up

The collector ordered that the Aadhaar number of the beneficiaries be linked while allotting houses.

According to CBSE, 3.2 lakh applicants do not have an Aadhaar card yet and are required to apply for one immediately if they wish to appear for the National Eligibility Test.

Kurnool: District Collector S. Sathya Narayana directed officials to speed up the process of construction for houseless families under the NTR housing scheme in the district.

The collector held a review meeting with municipality, banks and housing department officials at his conference hall on Wednesday and said that the government plans to build 25,000 houses in urban areas under the NTR housing scheme in the first phase.

Subsidies available to the beneficiaries include Rs 2.62 lakh for first category houses, Rs 3.24 lakh for second category houses and Rs 3.71 lakh for third category houses.

The collector ordered that the Aadhaar number of the beneficiaries be linked while allotting houses. He directed bankers to ensure that the subsidy loan be provided to all beneficiaries without hindrances.

He asked government staff to advice the beneficiaries who are selected under various government schemes to approach the bankers for clarifying the problems being faced by them. DRO Gangadhar Goud and other officials were present.
