THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: DGP  A. Hemachandran  called on Chief Minister  Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday in the backdrop of his recent transfer from the post of DGP (crimes) to KSRTC chairman and managing director on the basis of a recommendation made by  the solar judicial commission. Apart from Mr. Hemachandran, who headed the special investigation team (SIT) that probed the  solar scam, six police officers in the team were also transferred the other day on the basis of the commission's recommendations.

Mr. Hemachandran conveyed to the chief minister that solar commission Justice G. Sivarajan  had been  on a confrontation mode with the SIT members on various occasions during the sittings.  Mr Hemachandran  preferred to be tight- lipped on the details of the meeting. "It was a courtesy call before taking up the new responsibility at the KSRTC, which is indeed a key one," he told DC.
