Tech-savvy Maoist' killed in freak blast months back

HYDERABAD: A tech-savvy member of the banned CPI (Maoist) party central committee Ravi, alias Kailal, who designed new technology in fighting the forces, died some months back in Jharkhand.
In a letter released allegedly by the CPI (Maoist) party central committee, it was said that on June 25 while inspecting arrow bombs in Kolhan forest area of Jharkhand, the Prakasam native was especially chosen to devise state-of-the-art technology to fight the police forces, which had launched 'Operation Samadhan'.
"When Ravi was inspecting some explosives used for making arrow bombs, there was a blast that killed him. Although this happened some months back, the party delayed the announcement due to various reasons," the Maoist leaders said in the letter.
