Devotees Mark End of Karthika Masam With Visit to Shiva Temples

Vijayawada: With the Karthika Masam coming to an end, devotees offered special Poliswargam pujas on the bank of River Krishna in Krishna district on Wednesday. They lit lamps and floated them on banana stems in the river.

Special rituals were also followed at Sagara Sangamam in Avanigadda and Pavitra Sangamam in Ibrahimpatnam. Devotees flocked to many Shiva temples across the combined Krishna district, including Vijayawada.

Vijayeswaralayam and Ramalingeswara Swamy temples at Yanamalakuduru and Sivaramakrishna Kshetram at Satyanarayanapuram were among the shrines in the district where devotees gathered in large numbers.

Similarly, people visited the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam atop Indrakeeladri and offered special pujas.
