Visakhapatnam: Telugu Desam north Andhra in-charge and former MLC Buddha Venkanna claimed that even though TD is not in power, its chief N. Chandrababu Naidu visited cyclone-affected farmers and informed central government about the losses they had suffered. Addressing media at the TD office in Visakhapatnam, Venkanna accused ruling YSRC of focussing on its social empowerment bus yatra, without bothering about the cyclone-affected farmers.

“Instead of taking up the issue of compensation for cyclone-affected farmers, YSRC leaders are busy in villages begging for votes,” the TD leader stated. He alleged that ruling YSRC is using volunteers to force farmers, SCs, BCs and minorities into attending YSRC’s social empowerment yatra meeting. The former MLC maintained that YSRC regime has not helped farmers but benefitted leaders Y.V. Subba Reddy, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and Vijayasai Reddy.
