Woman fatally bitten by snake in Rudravaram

Kurnool: A pall of grief descended over Harinagaram village in Rudravaram mandal on Wednesday after a woman succumbed to a fatal snakebite.

35-year-old Jayampu Narasamma, an agricultural labourer, was reportedly bitten by a venomous Russell's viper (locally known as Rakta Pinjari) while working in the fields on Wednesday morning.

Her husband, distraught by the tragedy, recounted that Narasamma was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, her efforts to fight the venom proved futile, and she died on the way.
