Full makeover this year, says DPI
C. Raveendranath will address the public on Tuesday on the proposed changes for the next academic year.
Kozhikode: Director of public instruction (DPI) K.V. Mohan Kumar on Saturday said the State School Kalolsavam manual would get a "full makeover" in a year.
“For the 57th state school Kalolsavam we will seek the opinion of students, teachers, parents and artists," he told reporters in Kannur unveiling arrangements made for the festival opening there on Monday.
"They can send letters suggesting amendments to the manual." Education minister C. Raveendranath will address the public on Tuesday on the proposed changes for the next academic year followed by an elaborate meeting on February 8 in the state capital.
"The manual followed in the Kalolsavam is the one prepared in 2005, and it is high time that we brought a revised one with all the necessary changes so that we can avoid the present controversies over judgment and unhealthy competitions," he said.
