Kerala: Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau plans to train freshers

Thiruvananthapuram: As part of the proposed induction programme for fresh recruits in government services, the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) will commence a trainers' training programme as well as training for a vigilance officers of government departments and public sector undertakings. As many as 39 trainers would be imparted training at the Institute of Management in Government on Thursday. This would be followed by training for vigilance officers of government departments and public-sector undertakings. Vigilance director Jacob Thomas said the 39 master trainers would include vigilance officials as well as other professionals.
A special module has been prepared for the training programme. By the end of this month, the master trainers would impart training to vigilance officers of 90 odd government departments and 150 different state public sector undertakings. Subsequently, the training would be extended to freshers. It was during the anti-corruption day observation on December 9 the chief minister announced the week-long induction programme on good governance, beginning in January. The VACB recently initiated steps to strengthen the internal vigilance cells of all departments and state PSUs.
