Fire guts compost yard

A team of Fire personnel rushed to the spot and tried to put out the fire. However, the property of around '4 to '5 lakh was believed burnt to ashes. The police registered a case against the family members of the Sanjana. (Representational image)

Anantapur: A garbage vehicle caught fire when it reached the compost yard of Rayadurg town on Tuesday.

It is said the fire started from near the silencer of the vehicle. As the vehicle started burning, the entire compost yard too caught fire.

Smoke spread all over the Rayadurg town. Municipal authorities said â‚¹20 lakh worth damage has occurred.
