Maximum temperature in TS nears 46 degrees
HYDERABAD: After the unseasonal rains that hit the state, temperatures continue to rise for the second day in a row, with Mancherial recording the highest maximum temperature in the state at 45.9. The North Westerly winds were causing rising temperatures in Telangana, IMD officials stated.
Five districts in the state were on red alert with temperatures ranging from 45 to 45.9 degrees, while the rest of the state was on orange alert with temperatures ranging from 41 to 44 degrees and above, according to a report of the TS Development and Planning Society.
The highest temperatures for the day was recorded in Mancherial at 45.9, followed by Jagtial at 45.5, Kumaram Bheem at 45.4, Nizamabad at 45.1 and Nalgonda at 45.
The city recorded a maximum temperature in Khairatabad at 41, followed by Secunderabad, Musheerabad at 40.7, and Asifnagar at 40.6 degrees.
According to the IMD, dry weather will prevail over the state, with temperatures rising by 2-3 degrees in the coming week. Orange alert will continue in the coming week in several districts as temperatures will remain in the range of 41-45 degrees. The city will experience a partly cloudy sky and maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 40 degree and 26 degree respectively.
