Seven killed, six injured in SUV-Truck collission in Kadapa

Anantapur: Seven persons were killed and six others suffered serious injuries when an SUV vehicle hit a speeding truck near Chitravati bridge in Kondapuram mandal in YSR Kadapa district  on Monday. The deceased are from Tadipathri in Anantapur district and they were returning to their native place after having darshan at Tirumala temple.

Police said a group of devotees from Tadipathri went to Tirumala in a Toofan vehicle. When the vehicle reached near Chitravati Bridge in Kondapuram mandal the driver failed to control the vehicle and collision occurred. The vehicle was badly damaged and seven persons killed on the spot.

Rescue teams and police rushed to the spot and the injured persons have been shifted to Tadupathri hospital. Kondapuram police have registered a case.
