Doctors satisfied' with Perarivalan's health condition after another test

VELLORE: Perarivalan, life-convict in the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi assassination case lodged at the central prison, here, who was attacked by an another life-convict with an iron-rod on Tuesday morning, was again taken to Adukkamparai Government hospital on Tuesday night for further medical tests.
According to the Central Prison sources, after Perarivalan’s head injury was sutured at the prison hospital inside by Dr Manimegalai, joint director of Health, the jail authorities wanted to take him to the GH to study his health conditions further.
Hence on Tuesday night Perarivalan with police protection was taken to the Adukkamparai GH where he underwent a CT Scan, MRI and various tests relating to neurology, jail sources said. Perarivalan later in the night was brought back to the central prison, after the doctors were satisfied with his health condition, sources added.
