Jagan Extends Financial Aid to Ailing Patients
VISAKHAPATNAM: Moved by the plight of some patients, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy announced financial support to them after inaugurating the medical colleges on Friday. Within minutes, cheques were issued to them by the collector.
While boarding the helicopter, Tompala Lekhana of Pusapatirega village, suffering from congenital heart disease, Duri Bhanu Prasad of Gantyada suffering from bone marrow cancer, polio patient from Srikakulam district Shankar Rao and Choudhary Ganesh of G Sigadam, an accident victim confined to a wheelchair — all from the BPL segment — met the chief minister seeking financial help.
The Chief Minister asked district collector Nagalakshmi to hand over a Rs 1 lakh cheque to each of them.
