Two Anantapur youth die in road mishap
After offering puja, they started returning to Anantapur. But Praveen Teja failed to control his vehicle and hit the RTC bus
ANANTAPUR: Two youth have died in a mishap a few minutes after purchasing a new motorcycle and performing pooja to it. While riding the vehicle, they crashed into an RTC bus coming from the opposite side near Muddalapuram under Kudair mandal in Anantapur district.
Harinath Reddy, 23 and native of Rudrampet in Anantapur Rural mandal, worked with an ancillary unit of KIA at Penukonda. He purchased a new motor cycle on Monday and invited his friend Praveen Teja, working in the same plant, for offering pooja to the vehicle at Lord Narasimha Swamy Temple in Penna Ahobilam of Uravakonda mandal.
After offering puja, they started returning to Anantapur. But Praveen Teja failed to control his vehicle and hit the RTC bus coming from the opposite direction.
Teja died on the spot while Harinath Reddy succumbed to the severe head injury while being shifted to the Anantapur Government General Hospital (GGH). Doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Kudair police have registered a case. They handed over the bodies of Teja and Harinath to their respective families after post-mortem at the GGH.
