Vijayawada: Government adviser Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Friday refuted charges of TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu that the state government has failed in providing relief to victims of Cyclone Michaung.

Addressing media here on Friday, he underlined that Jagan Mohan Reddy government has swiftly responded by evacuating people and providing relief, rehabilitation and compensation to victims of the cyclone.

Ramakrishna Reddy pointed out that the Chief Minister had alerted every district collector regarding the relief measures that must be taken up in Michaung-affected areas. Collectors had been provided funds in advance for distribution of aid to every farmer who suffered during the cyclone.

“Jagan’s is a humane government, which provided Rs 2,500 to all people who had to move to cyclone shelters for safety,” the government adviser underlined.

He retorted that it is the Chandrababu Naidu government that never offered compensation to farmers.

Ramakrishna Reddy maintained that all sections of people are happy with the transparent governance under the leadership of Jagan Mohan Reddy. He claimed that out of 1.60 crore families in AP state, 1.47 crore families are benefiting one or the other welfare scheme of the YSRC government.

He said Chandrababu Naidu is daydreaming of winning the 2024 elections. He charged that for past four-and-a-half years, Telugu Desam and Jana Sena had been hell bent on carrying false propaganda using their supportive media. They could not digest the fact that unprecedented development had been going on in the state and people are happy with the state government’s performance.

The government adviser maintained that YSRC will win 175 out of the 175 Assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh during the 2024 elections.
