Rachakonda police spread cyber awareness at TKR women's college
HYDERABAD: Rachakonda’s cybercrime unit and the security council organised an awareness programme on cyber stalking, cyber bullying and cyber fraud for around 500 diploma students at TKR Institute of Engineering and Technology in Meerpet on Saturday.
DCP (cybercrimes) Rachakonda Dr B. Anuradha in her keynote address urged girls, who gathered on the occasion, to have self-belief and take safety measures while using mobiles and social media platforms.
She told them not to share personal information with unknown persons on social media and in life to avoid cyberstalking and bullying. It was because of their negligence that they were falling into the trap, the DCP said.
Explaining the various cyber frauds that were happening, she appealed to the gathering to report whenever they come across cybercrimes on toll-free number 1930 or on www.cybercrime.gov.in.
