OBHS on 60 more trains by year-end
The OBHS cleaning staff and janitors, who will be present on the trains through the journey, will ensure that trains are cleaned twice a day.

Chennai: Southern Railway, which currently has OBHS (On Board Housekeeping Services) on 11 trains, is targeting to introduce the same on about 60 more trains by year-end. The OBHS cleaning staff and janitors, who will be present on the trains through the journey, will ensure that trains are cleaned twice a day.
“Currently, we have 11 such trains that have the OBHS staff aboard them. Our target is to introduce them on 50-60 trains in the Southern Zone. They will be present in day trains and long-distance trains,” said a senior railway official. The staff will ensure that in the mornings and the evenings, the toilets are cleaned and cleanliness of the coaches is maintained.
