CRDA officials directed to take public opinion by AP CM tells officials
The CM directed the officials to actively involve public in giving their suggestions, particularly about the capital city master plan.
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed the CRDA officials to interact with the public to create awareness among them in such a way that they should own Amaravati.
Mr Naidu asked the officials to be transparent in taking up each and every work. During a tele-conference on Thursday, he asked the officials to act accordingly to make public partners in Amaravati capital city construction. The Chief Minister observed that giving due preference to the feedback gathered from the public will make them own the capital city and asked the officials that all the projects should be initiated and completed as per the fixed timelines. “Amaravati is not only a dream, it is a sacrament,” he said.
He asked the officials to conduct public interactive meetings and campaign all over the state if required. He suggested that the public interactive sessions should not only aim at disseminating information on the facilities but also to collect the views of the public on the main theme.
The CM directed the officials to actively involve public in giving their suggestions, particularly about the capital city master plan. “We will approve the master plan at the highest level only after taking needed amendments into account based on the people’s feedback,”
He however, asked the officials to be cautious in handling the projects with international firms as highly reputed companies from Japan, China and Singapore are ready to invest in the capital city. “Even a small lapse will send wrong signals among investors. Don’t give chance for slip-ups,” the CM said.
Mr Naidu directed the officials to prepare detailed reports related to 10th CRDA Authoritative meeting which is going to be attended by the heads of key departments of finance, municipal, urban development, panchayat raj, roads and buildings, forest and other prominent economical and technical experts.
