Hyderabad: Two pilfer jet fuel, held

Hyderabad: Nacharam police arres-ted two persons who were stealing aviation fuel (white petrol) from a tanker after diverting it at Mallapur.

The police, acting on a tip-off that some persons were collecting fuel from a Bharat Petroleum tanker at Gokulnagar, Mallapur, raided the place and apprehended two persons: Driver G. Nara-yana, 42, of the tanker (AP29 W 3798) which was headed to RGI airport and M. Ganesh, 50, Suryanagar who were collecting the jet fuel.

Police seized about 20 litres of aviation turbine fuel with the duo and the tanker containing 20,000 litres of white petrol.

Nacharam inspector M. Mahesh said that by mixing it with kerosene, white petrol can be used as a fuel for vehicles.
