Govt, pvt entities hoist flags, celebrate Independence Day in Telangana

 Hyderabad: Government departments, transport corporations and private entities working on government contracts celebrated the Independence Day on their premises, with flag hoisting and celebrations.

South Central Railway’s general manager Arun Kumar Jain hoisted the National Flag and received the Guard of Honour at the Railway Sports Complex Ground in Secunderabad. Senior railway officials, staff, family members and students from the railways' schools and colleges also participated in the celebrations.

Arun Kumar Jain, in his address, said it “was a moment of great pride that Team SCR, alongside their families, has spontaneously responded to the clarion call of our Prime Minister.”

They have wholeheartedly embraced the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative, demonstrating enthusiasm by hoisting the National Flag at their residences, he said.

The Independence Day celebrations were also held by the TSRTC at Bus Bhavan, with chairman Bajireddy Govardhan and MD V.C. Sajjanar hoisting the flag and receiving the RTC police’s guard of honour. Similar celebrations were also held at the RGI Airport.

The Regional Passport Office also celebrated the day, with officer Dasari Balaiah hoisting the National Flag.
