Telangana: Realtor held with revolver in Jagtial

Karimnagar: Maliala police apprehended a person who possessed a revolver illegally and seized the weapon, six bullets, a bike and a mobile phone from his possession in Jagtial on Tuesday.
 
DSP Venkataswamy said that the accused was identified as Gudem Mahendar, 48, of Mustabad mandal, who was running a function hall and was in the real estate business.
 
Mahendar had disputes with other persons regarding real estate business. So, to protect himself from possible attacks, he purchased a revolver from Gopal Gouz town in Bihar in 2020. However, since then, he started to extort money from his rival at gunpoint.
 
ASI Kumaraswamy, during a vehicle check at Rajaram bus stand, arrested Mahendar with the weapon, while he was moving suspiciously upon seeing the police. A case was registered against him.
