Konda Venkata Reddy’s birth anniversary celebrated

Hyderabad: The 131st birth anniversary of former deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, late Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy, was celebrated at the AV College of Arts, Science and Commerce on Wednesday. A special postal cover honouring the political leader was released by Telangana’s chief postmaster general S. Rajendra Kumar, former Chevella MP K. Vishweshwar Reddy and Hyderabad’s postmaster general T.M. Srilatha.

Speaking on the occasion, K. Vishweshwar Reddy said, “Today I am able to appreciate the vision of my grandfather Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy — that post -independence nation-building was of utmost importance. He urged the youth to become lawyers, teachers, engineers, and doctors, and today, I can see how they are contributing to the nation's growth. ”

Secretary of Vignyana Sarovarcha Prachuranalu, Hyderabad, Konda Lakshmikanth Reddy, former vice-chancellor of Telugu University, Prof E. Siva Reddy, secretary of A.V. Educational Society, Prof K. Ramchandra Reddy, human rights commission chairman, justice G. Chandraiah, K. Vinod Reddy, Principal of A.V. College, Dr Rajalingam, correspondent of A.V College, Dr Gautami Reddy, students, teachers and several other professors as well as the family members of Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy,  including joint managing director of Apollo Hospitals, Dr Sangita Reddy, were present at the event.
