Four died, nine injured in car-van collision in Konaseema
KAKINADA: Four persons died on the spot and nine others were injured when a speeding car rammed into a van on National Highway near Madiki in Alamuru mandal of B.R.Ambedkar Konaseema District on Saturday morning. According to Ravulapalem Circle Inspector Rajani Kumar, the victims were going to Mandapalli village of Konaseema district from Muddurthi village of Chodavaram mandal in Anakapalli District,
A speeding car, carrying four persons from Visakhapatnam to Palakollu village of West Godavari District lost control and hit the van. Passengers in the van -Bodi Venkinaidu (55), prathivada kannayya Lingam (55), and Gangiredla Srinu (38) died on the spot and six persons were injured. Vegesna Subrahmanya Raju of Palakollu, passenger of the car died after the vehicle hit a tree. The Alamuru police shifted the injured persons to the government hospital at Rajamahendravaram.
