Jubilee Hills MLA fumes at 'small' flexi pic, worker responsible' for it bashed up
HYDERABAD: A smaller picture of Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath in a Bonalu flexi so irritated him that when he expressed his displeasure, his supporters bashed up one Ganesh, a BRS worker, who reportedly put up the flexi near a temple that the legislator visited, in the presence of police personnel, on Sunday evening.
CCTV footage, reportedly of the incident and the police standing as mute spectators, went viral on social media.
There were arguments with Ganesh, which led to the assault by the cadre accompanying the MLA. However, police denied the allegations and said that the argument had resulted in a commotion. The on-duty personnel intervened and dispersed the crowd.
“There is no truth in the rumour that he was assaulted,” they added.
