Thiruvananthapuram: The bar bribery case against former finance minister K. M. Mani has been posted to September 5 for arguments on the petitions against the closure report submitted by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB). Though the matter was scheduled to be considered by the Inquiry Commssioner and Special Judge on Tuesday, it was postponed as  judge A. Badarudeen was on leave.

The stand of the Vigilance assumed significance as there were reports that the new Vigilance director Jacob Thomas was re-examining the case. While the case was considered on July 7, the VACB informed that  further probe could be conducted in case of any fresh evidence.
