RIL chairman donates ₹1.5 crore to Tirumala temple

TIRUPATI: Reliance Industries chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani on Friday donated ₹1.5 crore to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
The corporate giant was accompanied by his youngest son Anant Ambani's fiancée Radhika Merchant on the visit.

After offering prayers to Lord Venkateswara Swamy at the hill shrine, Mukesh Ambani presented a demand draft of ₹1.5 crore to TTD executive officer A.V. Dharma Reddy as donation to the temple.

Earlier, the Reliance chairman participated in the Abhisheka Seva of the presiding deity. He had Nijapada darshan. He later reached Ranganayakula Mandapam inside the temple, where the TTD EO presented prasadam to Ambani while priests rendered Vedasirvachanam.

Later, Mukesh Ambani, along with his entourage, visited TTD Goshala. Ambani said that he is happy to visit the hill temple of Lord Balaji, which is developing every year.

YSR Congress MPs Vijayasai Reddy and Dr. Maddila Gurumoorthy and MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy accompanied the Reliance head. Among TTD officials, deputy EOs Ramesh Babu and P. Harindranath, OSD S. Muralidhar and VGO Bali Reddy were present.
