Srisailam Kartheeka Masam fete from October 28
Keeping in view the huge rush of devotees, there will be no Sparsha Darshanam during the Kartheeka Masam
ANANTAPUR: The holy Kartheeka Masam celebrations at Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bramarambika temples in Srisailam will be organised from October 28 to November 23.
Announcing this, executive officer (EO) S. Lavanna said elaborate arrangements are being made for the month-long festivities.
Keeping in view the huge rush of devotees, there will be no Sparsha Darshanam during the Kartheeka Masam every Saturday, Sunday and Monday, apart from public holidays. Devotees can have only Alankara Darshan during the period.
Lavanna said while the Kartheeka Pournami will be celebrated on November 7, Laksha Deepotsavam will be there every Monday during the holy month.
Devotees, however, will not be allowed to light lamps at the Nagalakatta inside the temple. They can do so at the Gangadhara Mandapam and North Mada Street.
The EO said departments concerned will be making all necessary arrangements at the Patalaganga and queue lines.
