Welding shop owner murder case: 3 surrender

Krishnagiri: Three people wanted for the murder of welding shop owner surrendered in Krishnagiri court on Thursday.
On Tuesday, 25-year-old Kamalakannan, a welding shop owner of Palaniappa nagar in Chinna Elasagiri in Hosur of Krishnagiri was stabbed to death for his attempt to stop a mob fight.
The murder took place in the house of his friend Suresh, 25, of Hanumantha nagar, also in Chinna Elasagiri, by an angry mob mistaking Kamalakannan as the supporter of another group due to his intervention to stop the fight.
Three others were also attacked with lethal weapons for their attempt to save Kamalakannan. The injured people are Harish, 28, Manjunath, 25, and Nagesh, 29.
Kamalakannan died on way while he was transported to the hospital. Three others are undergoing treatment here in the private hospital.
Investigations revealed that Kamalakannan was killed by one V.Suresh of Govinda Agraharam in Hosur, V.Bharath of GKT nagar in Hosur and A.Santhosh of MGR nagar in Tharamangalam of Salem district.
The trio, said to be relatives of Kamalakannan's friend Suresh, have allegedly killed the victim for his intervention when they were fighting with Suresh and his wife Sowmiya over a family issue.
The Hosur SIPCOT police registered a case and was searching for the accused people. Meanwhile, Suresh, Bharath and Santhosh surrendered in the Krishnagiri magistrate court on Thursday. They were sent to the Salem jail as remand prisoners for 15 days.
