Kurnool: The Srisailam temple in Nandyal district witnessed a heavy influx of devotees on Sunday, mainly attributed to the weekend holiday. The temple, dedicated to Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy, was bustling with devotees from the two Telugu-speaking states who arrived to offer their prayers.

The temple’s staff faced the challenge of managing the huge crowd, and Devasthanam officials had to assign special duties to ensure smooth operations and minimise any inconvenience for the visitors. Temple executive officer D. Peddiraju said that all necessary facilities, such as accommodations, food, and drinking water, were being provided. He also requested patience from the devotees, as the darshan process was taking longer than usual due to the increased number of visitors on Sunday. Particularly, the temple resumed Sparsha darshan of the deity and other rituals that had been suspended during the Kartika month, adding to a draw for devotees.
