TS Will be India's Best Performing State Under Congress: Sridhar Babu

Karimnagar: The Congress government will strive to elevate Telangana state to the top position across all sectors in the country, said IT minister and Manthani MLA Duddilla Sridhar Babu, on his maiden visit to Peddapalli after taking charge as minister, on Sunday. Equal importance will be given to all sectors in the coming Budget, he said.

Earlier, Congress leaders, led by Peddapalli MLA Ch. Vijaya Ramana Rao, took out a bike rally from Sultanabad to Peddapalli to welcome the minister.

Speaking to media persons later, Sridhar Babu said that the Congress would not stoop to taking vengeful action against political opponents but run the government in a democratic manner.

If any policies were found beneficial to the people, they would be continued.

An action plan has been drawn up whereupon the state will top in agriculture, IT and employment sectors. Along with implementation of the Six Guarantees, the government will take steps for the welfare of all sections, Sridhar Babu said.

The government has already started taking steps in providing employment opportunities to educated youth. A job calendar will be released under the TSPSC every year and that will be strictly followed, the minister said.

As mentioned in the election manifesto, the state government will order a probe into the irregularities in the construction of Kaleshwaram project.

As leaders of both BRS and BJP never honour their promises, the people of the state have shown the two parties their place, he added.
