State equipped to tackle power crisis, says Power Minister M M Mani
There will be no hike in tariff nor any load shedding, said power minister M.M. Mani
KOZHIKODE: Power Minister M.M. Mani inaugurated the total electrification project in Kozhikode South constituency on Tuesday. The project, undertaken by Kerala State Electricity Board, is part of the state government initiative to make state totally electrified. The minister announced here that there would be no load shedding in the state and the government was not considering any increase in the power charges.
He added that the state welcomes the move to buy from the Central pool. "Everyone knows that there is crisis in power sector due to the shortage in the rainfall. The state is equipped to manage the crisis," he added.The event was also attended by Mayor Thottathil Raveendran, MK Raghavan MP, MK Muneer MLA, KSEB director V Sivadasan and deputy mayor Meera Darsak.
