Kozhikode district gets a brand new website

Details regarding the people's representatives, civic bodies, contact numbers, tourist information are also incorporated in the website.

Kozhikode: Kozhikode District Administration launched a brand new website for the district with a modern look. The administration claims that this is the first dynamic and responsive website among the districts in Kerala. The website has been developed and managed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) in association with Pixelbird Digital Agency. Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, outgoing Kozhikode District Collector N. Prasanth said that the website had been revamped in order to meet with the new requirements of the people.

“We have to change according to the changing world. The modern look of the website with new content will help the public to better interact with the government system and also to better understand and access services and information,” he said. “The team behind the website spent months to develop it. It is the result of collective effort. Updating of the same is going on. There are many shortcomings and we are trying to rectify those mistakes at the earliest,” he added.

Apart from the detail regarding the various departments in the district, there are links to social media platforms of the district and a section for press releases issued by the authorities on a daily basis. Details regarding the people’s representatives, civic bodies, contact numbers, tourist information are also incorporated in the website.
