Cheyutha, Aasara making rural women financially self-sufficient

VIJAYAWADA: Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) chief executive officer Ahmad Imtiaz said state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is bringing in revolutionary changes, which are making governance more transparent and efficient.

Participating in a meeting here on Friday, Imtiaz pointed out that YSR Cheyutha and YSR Aasara are of immense help to poor rural women. These schemes help village women become financially self-sufficient.

The SERP CEO underlined that by using such schemes, women can improve their livelihood much faster qualitatively and quantitatively.

Imtiaz disclosed that they have signed a pact with Heifer International India, which will help poor women become financially self-sufficient by taking up agriculture-based activities.
