Bengaluru: Pre University re-valuation helps student secure first rank

Although more than 10,000 students had applied for revaluation, only 2,243 benefited from it.

Bengaluru: Department of Pre University Education (DPE) has published the II PUC revaluation results and a student from Mysuru has secured first rank in the science stream. According to PU department officials, Ravish Suresh Banahatti scored eight more marks in English to 98 from 90, and his aggregate total rose to 597, ahead of Rakshita (596) who was earlier declared first rank holder. Ravish Banahatti, who is basically from the city, wants to pursue medicine and has secured 56th rank in the recent CET conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Although more than 10,000 students had applied for revaluation, only 2,243 benefited from it. “Out of 10,412 applications we received for revlauation/retotaling, no changes were found in 8,169 applications," said an officer.

No option entry link
Even though KEA had announced that students will be given option entry link, to make their choices from Friday afternoon. But students allege that link was not uploaded on KEA website.
