Central University of Kerala publishes updated ranklist
Student grievances addressed in new list.
KASARGOD: The Central University of Kerala on Saturday published the updated rank list of the central universities’ common entrance test (CUCET 2017) held on May 16 and 17. The list contains the names of the candidates who are eligible to get admissions to various courses run by the CUK. Though the provisional rank list was published on June 15, due to some technical glitches, the rank lists for some of the courses were incomplete. The new list has been published by addressing those issues.
CUK controller of examinations (in-charge) Dr. Mohammedunni Alias Musthafa said that the grievances raised by some candidates have been addressed by the varsity. The confusion over the rank list regarding certain courses like Masters in Public Health (MPH), MEd and LLM was due to the age criterion which was rectified. The counselling to the students included in the rank list will be held on the main campus at Periye at 10 a.m. on June 22. Those who intend to get admissions to the LLM and BA International Relations courses should report at the CUK centres at Pathanamthitta and Thiruvananthapuram respectively.
In Kerala, as many as 20,727 candidates had appeared in eight centres set up in seven cities for the two-day common entrance examination for admissions to various graduate, post-graduate and doctoral programmes in 11 central universities across the country. The number of candidates who appeared for the exam in Kerala was almost double this time compared to last year.
