Hyderabad: Five kids injured at gaming zone

According to the complainant, Mr Khaleel Ullah, he and along with some children visited Krazy Chiks Kids on Sunday evening.

Hyderabad: Five children were injured at Krazy Chiks, Koti, a play area, allegedly due to the negligence of the management. The Sultan Bazaar police has booked a case against Krazy Chiks owner Malik Lakhani for causing hurt and endangering life.

According to the complainant, Mr Khaleel Ullah, he and along with some children visited Krazy Chiks Kids on Sunday evening. At around 8 pm, the children climbed an equipment called Krazy Tower, which took the children to a height. There was a power outage at that point, and the children were stuck at a height of 8 feet.

He said the establishment uses a manually-operated generator. When it was switched on, the equipment went up suddenly and the children fell down.

Sultan Bazaar sub-inspector K. Chandra Mohan said, The Krazy Tower doors opened and the  five children, named Nida, 8, Naba, 6, Ayat, 5, Alifa, 11 and Safa, 11, fell from a height of 12 to 15 feet height due to which they sustained injuries.”

The children were rushed to a nearby private hospital for treatment.

The family stated that the Krazy Chiks management should ensure that such incidents don’t recur, and replace such equipment, Officials must inspect the gaming zones regularly, they said.

Sultan Bazaar police registered a case under IPC Section 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) and investigation is underway.
