THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police quizzing of two legislators at the MLA Hostel here on Monday over the actor abduction and assault case has invited the wrath of Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan. Aluva MLA Anwar Sadath of the Congress and actor-turned- Kollam MLA Mukesh of CPM were quizzed by the special investigation team. Following Speaker's objections, they postponed Thrikkakara MLA P. T. Thomas's to Friday. While Mr Sadath was quizzed on his friendship with Dileep, they enquired about Mukesh's former driver Sunil Kumar alias Pulsar Suni, the prime accused, who was with him during the alleged conspiracy.

The Speaker got irked as he came to know about the police quizzing the two on MLA Hostel premises only from television channels. Usually, police enter the Legislature Secretariat or MLA Hostel premises with his nod. After being alerted by the Speaker, Legislature Secretariat officials contacted the cops. They told them the MLAs asked them to meet them there as they were coming down for the Presidential election.

Speaker confirmed this with the MLAs and hence no further actions initiated. Mr Sadath told reporters that the police sought details regarding his relationship with Dileep as well as the calls he made to him on the day of the attack. He told them that he contacted the star to invite him to a function of a school. He also denied any real estate deals with him. Mukesh said the investigators wanted to know about his relations with Sunil as well as the actor. Sunil was employed as a driver for nearly one year, and hence he maintained a good relationship with him as well his family.
