Kerala bid to control prices for Onam
Mr Isaac said that in the last GST council meeting, Kerala had wanted the centre to take steps to control price rise.

Thiruvananthapuram: The state government will intensify market intervention measures for Onam to hold the price line after the introduction GST regime. Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac said this in the Assembly on Thursday during the discussion on the Kerala Goods and Service Taxes Bill, 2017, which was passed later.
Mr Isaac said that in the last GST council meeting, Kerala had wanted the centre to take steps to control price rise. He said that the state had now decided to list out the earlier MRPs of commodities, the effective reduction in taxes and the new MRPs.
