KOTTAYAM: Some social groups and the wildlife department will join the tribal population at the Chinnar wildlife sanctuary to celebrate Kadonam. Forest range officer P.M. Prabhu took to the Facebook to announce the Onam festival in the woods, where 1,735 people live in 11 settlements. The organisers, including the Idukki Nature History Society, Cochin Adventure Foundation and the Wings of Nature, will serve Muthuvans and Hill Pulayas with traditional scrumptious Onam sadya.

“The aim is to give them a picture of Onam celebrations outside," Mr Prabhu told DC. The tribals will be performing their indigenous art forms. The Sadya will be given at two tribal settlements a day.
