Vocational college funded by Vivekanand opened

Government Vocational Junior College, which was constructed by Quthbullapur BRS MLA K.P. Vivekanand with his own funds to the tune of Rs 1 crore in his constituency in the memory of his father K.M.Pandu, was inaugurated on Thursday.

The buildings was inaugurated by Vivekanand along with labour minister Ch. Malla Reddy and Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao.

The leaders paid tributes to late K.M.Pandu for his unstinting efforts to develop the Quthbullapur constituency during his long 30-year longer stint in public life as sarpanch for 20 years, Medchal panchayat vice president and  first chairperson of Quthbullapur municipality. "He always worked for the welfare of the poor," they said.

Minister Malla Reddy appreciated MLA  Vivekanand for setting up government college with his own funds in memory of his father to
provide quality vocational education to poor students and make them employable. They said Vivekanand is following in the footsteps of his father in development of constituency and in ensuring the welfare of the poor and needy.

Vivekanand stated that the new vocational junior college and upcoming government degree college and medical college in his constituency will make quality education accessible and affordable to students from poorer sections. He urged students to utilise these institutions effectively and come up in life.
