Missing trekker from Bengaluru reaches Kukke Subrahmanya

Mangaluru: Santhosh – a trekker from Bengaluru, who had gone missing during a trek to Kumaraparvatha forest on Sunday returned to Kukke Subrahmanya on Tuesday.

Santhosh from Gayatri Nagar in Bengaluru was part of a 12-member team, which had gone to Kumaraparvatha. On the way back, he went missing on September 14.
A complaint was filed and six teams were formed to find him. However, on Tuesday Santhosh arrived on his own at Kukke Subrahmanya.
The police said that Santhosh, who had lost his way, followed the pipeline leading to Kukke Subrahmanya from a hill near Kumaraparvatha. The pipeline was laid for the teertha water some years ago.
Santhosh first saw a human settlement at Kallagundi near Adi Subrahmanya. Local residents provided food and fruits, and then called the police.
