Nellore: TTD EO vows to give priority to commoners

Nellore: Providing hassle-free darshan to common pilgrims on New Year,  Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Vaikuntha Dwadasi is the priority of TTD, said its EO Dr D. Samba Siva Rao.

Speaking to mediapersons outside Tirumala temple after having darshan of Lord Venkateswara on Saturday, the EO said, keeping in view the past experiences, significant improvement will be seen in providing accommodation, darshan, anna prasadams on New Year day,  Vaikuntha Ekadasi,  Vaikuntha Dwadasi which fall on January 1, 8 and 9 respectively.

Earlier, the TTD EO trekked along the Alipiri footpath route and reached Tirumala. Enroute, the EO also verified the functioning of primary health care units and expressed satisfaction. He later interacted with the pilgrims to know about their problems during  trekking.

He instructed the concerned to keep the premises of the footpath clean and tidy and also instructed the TTD PRO Dr T. Ravi to keep the sale of 2017 calendars and diaries at all the information centres in Tirumala for the benefit of pilgrims. He said the TTD officials were making all arrangements.
